!WASD
A downloadable platformer for Windows and Linux
An hardcore platformer with a little twist. Beat it if you can.
Recommended for platform enthusiasts looking for something new.
Controls:
- Movement - WASD
- Jump - K
- Dash - J
Minimum requirements:
- 64 bit operating system
- Possibly a QWERTY keyboard
Side notes:
- Be sure to lower the volume since it will get a bit louder (It's my first time adding sounds, I had no idea what I was doing)
- Couln't make a web build because I used C# 🗿
Made for the Acerola Game Jam 0
Jam theme: Aberration (a departure from what is normal, usual, or expected, typically an unwelcome one.)
Source code available here.
Credits (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)
- Font Play by Jonas Hecksher
- Swoosh sound by Timbre
- Music:
- Amaryllis - Reaching Out
- Sewerslvt - Luciferians (glitchtrode Remix) (slowed + reversed)
- Softwares used:
- SFX made with jfxr by Frozen Fractal
WARNING PLEASE READ: "keyboard ghosting" refers to the limitation of keyboards in which some keys in some keyboards cannot be pressed at the same time, this means you may find impossible to clear some levels, but it's not entirely true. To better understand why you'll have to know this little detail: when you go to a certain direction, it will be registered as the last one you went, which means that you can press up + forward, release both keys, press dash and still manage to dash diagonally.

Incredibly hostile design, I really like the idea behind this and was unable to beat the third level. An absolute aberration that features little to no art.
Thanks for playing! I'm happy you enjoyed the whole vibe, and thanks for the follow!
